Accepted Answer WebMar 20, 2024 · Instead of using a conditional, experiment with setting a ray’s tmin and tmax values to 0 in order to trigger a miss, and (if required for correct behavior) use a no-op miss shader to avoid unintended side effects. Use RAY_FLAG_CULL_BACK_FACING_TRIANGLES / gl_RayFlagsCullBackFacingTrianglesNV judiciously.
